Necessary

It not necessary to eat.  It is not necessary to drink.  It is not necessary to live in this world at all.

But it is necessary to learn to crave God.  We have appeared here on earth because of Him.  We live because of Him.  And we are going to return to Him.  Nothing about our body is necessary without Him.

Let a man dabble in the things of the body without the Lord’s consent and that man will immerse himself in nothing necessary.   He will think he is thriving.   But what shall he say when he finds himself having returned to The One who made him?

All his life he made sure he was not necessary.   How should he be of value then?

By His Grace.

  1. ‘GOD’ is actually NOT necessary. There is ALL the proof in the world that we did NOT come from a god. Many do not believe in the Christian god and they are fine without that. If a person finds that need for a god, then by all means, but the evidence is not there and it really IS a choice and not critical.

    • Well, when ya see Him, tell Him that stuff. You think you win that stupid argument by presenting it to another man. You’re playin a fool’s game, friend. That’s not my opinion. That’s what God thinks of your “majestic” thinking.

      • There has to BE a provable Sky Fairy to think anything at all! Tell me that you think YOU know more than the great Richard Dawkins or the incredible Neil deGrasse Tyson! I will trust the geniuses rather than the deluded, thanks!

Now looking back to the beginning, I ask you this: what flipped the switch between nothing and something? But to answer that question we are forced to wonder why there was anything to be “flipped” at all. You will have no answer. It’s not possible to provide conjecture about something so remote and unformed.

At least Christianity offers an answer to such a dilemma. For we are sure there is an eternal God who decided to create.

      • Christianity offers nothing but myth based on a book that has been rewritten over and over again. There are many ‘GODS’ that could have ‘flipped the switch’ just as you attribute this to yours. I choose to believe that I am a primitive being who might eventually evolve the science to solve that problem. Religious people are primitives who try to remain deluded and in the dark. These are my beliefs and they are just as valid as the next guy’s but are also the only beliefs accepted in the real scientific world.

      • Two things to hit. You haven’t answered the question from the perspective of atheism. And you hope that you will amount to something because you are part of a larger group of people. You, personally, will amount to nothing. While you uphold a “greater good”. What “greater good” is this movement going to provide you? Christianity provides the answer.

All you need do is open your narrow minded thinking and grasp the aspect of your soul called faith. Already you grasp at it by inhabiting a sort of collective “good”. When in reality you will simply die and mean nothing (That by your own admission)

    • Hey there, my pompous tiny grape friend, here’s something for us both to chew on.

1Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot a vain thing?

2The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against Yahweh, and against his Anointed, saying,

3″Let’s break their bonds apart, and cast their cords from us.”

4He who sits in the heavens will laugh. The Lord will have them in derision.

5Then he will speak to them in his anger, and terrify them in his wrath:

6″Yet I have set my King on my holy hill of Zion.”

7I will tell of the decree. Yahweh said to me, “You are my son. Today I have become your father.

8Ask of me, and I will give the nations for your inheritance, the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.

9You shall break them with a rod of iron. You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”

10Now therefore be wise, you kings. Be instructed, you judges of the earth.

11Serve Yahweh with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12Give sincere homage to the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all those who take refuge in him. A Psalm by David, when he fled from Absalom his son.

      • I still am gonna wait for concrete proof BESIDES the obvious that humans are a war-like species, unimportant, have been around for only the blink of an eye and will pass from this Earth and be forgotten as species have in the past. We are on a nondescript planet in a very regular unimportant galaxy amongst BILLIONS of stars! To think that we are the center of ANYTHING is absolutely pompous and patently ridiculous! AND you can’t use the Book of Fairy Stories to prove a almighty Sky Fairy who sits on his hands and does nothing at all! Some GOD! Christians seem to have a very LOW expectation of their myths!
