Man’s Personal Court

Today is the court of Man.  There is a singular case on the docket: who is true and who is the liar.  Who is the accused?  Who is the plaintiff?

It’s a shell game of two.  When they walked in, did they take their proper seat?  Every officer in the court is one man, you.

Today, you get to be the law.  Today, you are the judge.  There is only one verdict possible.  Choose fatal condemnation for one, and eternal freedom for the other.

What’s at stake?  One of the two who sit before your examination is vital to the security and welfare of all.  The other is an eternal mass murderer.

Today, judgment belongs to Man.  Assess correctly.  Be wise in your questioning.  Choose wrong, and extinction is set free!

“Be silent before me, you islands!
Let the nations renew their strength!
Let them come forward and speak;
let us meet together at the place of judgment.”  (Isaiah 41: 1)

Turn or False

True humility is not a brand of servitude.  It is a joyful and willing acceptance of one’s place in life, according to ALL that is true.

Pride is the exact opposite.  Pride thinks it is humble.  But such false humility only weighs itself against a certain compartment of life.  Pride refuses to take into consideration the fullness of what is offered.

Humility receives all and is glad.  Pride rejects all, and sadly keeps what it thinks is his.

But let’s not be mistaken here,  pride seamlessly believes it is humble.  Therefore it is fully incapable of understanding true humility.  It is fully incapable of receiving anything.  Pride will gladly die, in abject poverty of truth.

Dear Active Atheist

Dear Mr and Mrs Atheist:

I have been told that you cannot believe there is a God.  The word “cannot” is not possibly true.  For when it comes to what people want, they seem to find a lot of “can”.

But let’s put initiative behind us, shall we?

I understand that the thrust of active atheism, is to rid the earth of the foolishness of believing there is a God.  Let’s all agree there’s a whole lot of believin going on right now.  So you have a whole lot of work to do in a very short time.

But I write this to take a look at the uselessness of active atheism.

If an atheist lives to be 90, he may infect a few with what he calls common sense or reality.  But those few he infects may or may not become common cohorts in the man’s cause.  In fact, according to statistics of human behavior, anyone who joins a group is very unlikely to strive toward leadership or active involvement.  By whatever means, they were compelled simply to join.

Let’s assume he converts three or four in his life.  What has he really accomplished?  More than likely the enthusiasm of his converts will fade away.  They will likely go get jobs and raise a family.  I would bet they won’t even remember the man’s name who converted them.  So what has the active atheist accomplished?

Well maybe he tore down the faith of a few religious people.  But its not possible for him to make much of a dent in the religions of the world.  So what has he really accomplished?

Perhaps he’s made a name for himself in the annals of exemplary atheists.  We both know there is no Hall of Fame sporting such a sign out front.

He can say he did it for the good of humanity.  But I’ve already established he’s done virtually nothing.  But in his mind, he is important.

Does anyone know the name of the man who lived 1.2 miles west of Podunk Egypt during the reign of King Ramses the second?  You might know the road I’m talking about; the road that Pestle Smitak lived on.

Perhaps that’s too distant a time.

Does anyone know the name of the family who lived six houses down from Charles Schwab in 1987?  What is the name of the examiner who tested you when you got your driver’s license?  Do you really think you will gain popularity when you are dead?

My aim here is not to insult you.  I’m not trying to make fun of you.  I’m only trying to plant a seed of doubt in your foolish mind.  Just like a seed that falls between the cracks in the sidewalk: no one saw it fall and no one remembers it until the grass sprouts up.  What I’m busily doing to you, active atheist, is the very same thing you do to people who have hope in their faith.

The visible difference here is that I offer you eternal life in Christ Jesus.  The only thing you have to offer is a hopeless useless existence and then,  “Poof“!  You die and fade away.  Christ is very willing to extend eternal life and notoriety to you right now!

Deeds Done in the Body

The Hope of Christ causes we who believe to agree:

God has placed us among His belongings in Christ.

6Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. 7 For we live by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.”  (2 Corinthians 5)

How much of this does each of us believe?  It is easily determined, how much of this we believe, by an assessment of our “doings”.

May sobriety tend to us as a caring nurse.

Owners of Decay, Owners of Eternity.

The prosperity of riches, among Man, is defined by those things a man might acquire. And so they bear their proper name.   Easily lost or destroyed by rust and various decay, such things have no right to bear the name “prosperity”.  For no sooner are they acquired (or even desired), they begin their demise.

Penniless paupers are those who desire only the things of this world.  But rich are those, and beyond voicing, who place their desire in the things of eternity.  This “hope” in Christ we own, is riches unspeakable.

Let the unbeliever ridicule the Christian.  Let them hope in every possible “value” in this world.  They stand as proud owners of decay.  But let understand sink in.  The Hope we own in Christ is given to us by He who is endlessly true.  Such a One cannot give any decay to anyone.  What He gives is a faith that cannot possibly die, except that a man might rise one day to choose doubt over belief.

Yet he who owns Prosperity of Eternity owns what is absolute.  This one is rich!  He is rich beyond his ability to know, yet he believes.

Doubt belongs to the owners of decay.  Belief is received by He who extends eternal riches.  Believe and prosper.  Doubt and remain a pauper.

Questions and Answers

Where was God?

I could not post this comment on your site.  But I will not let what you said go unanswered.

You ask questions.  I will ask you a question.  Where are those who died?

You speak with the mind of a man.  What do you know about the power or the mind of God?

Should God be all excited because a few bodies we’re reaped from the vineyard of mankind?  You do not consider, and you make no mention, that over a hundred thousand people die every day from various difficulties.

Where is the volume of souls?  Who owned them while they lived?  Who owns them now where they are?  Who owns you, and will exact your prompt presence when the time is right?
