PTSD

What if:

What if there was no such thing as PTSD? What if the memories of tragedy, self imposed or otherwise, simply didn’t exist. Who would we have become?

But PTSD is excruciatingly real. Memories stand in line just waiting their turn to enraged the fire.

Here’s a thought: while suffering on the inside is bad enough, what shall be said about an entire existence that just waits for opportunity to add to the trouble?

Suck it up buttercup. This is where we find life on earth and everybody gets a taste.

Thanks be to God Christ!

Stealing from Christ

What makes Christianity endlessly different in this world? The foundation of difference is the question of who is responsible for my salvation.

Do we share even the tiniest portion of responsibility for our salvation with the living God? Thinking that we obey anything he tells us to do is to divide the responsibility beyond Christ.

You want the awe you had at some point in regard to his sacrifice? Do you want it back? Then stop trying to carry any portion of salvation as if it belongs to you.

Either we give total joy to his living name, or we expect some kind of applause from eternity because we did something right.

Every other religion among men requires us to save ourselves by doing something. Christ Jesus says “believe”. Everything else follows our belief in God, in Christ, and the true joy of salvation, unshakable!

The forgiveness of sin does not come when you do it all rightly. “Be still and know I am God“.

By His Grace.
