A proprietary dongle. It is a thumb drive or a flash drive as it’s called. It is put into a USB port on a computer so that you can run certain software. Without the thumb drive you cannot run the software.

The software is on your computer. All you have to do is pick up the thumb drive and put it into the computer.

Christian Faith is like that.

Let’s say you put the thumb drive in but never access the software. What good then is the thumb drive? What good then use the software? Do you want to create? Once the thumb drive is in place, open the software and do what the software does.

Like the thumb drive is received and in its place, so is the faith of Christ. 

Do you have weaknesses you know you need to overcome? Do you have fears you wish you didn’t have? Do they paralyze you in your life? You know they do.

Does more really need to be said here?

you love confident and pride

Have you ever considered utter sadness?

have you ever considered an unspeakable loneliness?

have you ever considered there is extreme joy in these three things?

I tell you a truth. The second one is real.

when Christ first comes in, there is a spectacular experience for the one who truly believes.

look into these things. Ask those who say they are Christian about them.

take note of what your investigation reveals.

The world temperature from the roaring 20s to today:
From flappers to speakeasies, beat Nicks, the New Age movement of the 70s, the rebellion of the 80s, the drug culture of the 90s and 20s. It’s gotten more and more evil. (meaning it has separated from holiness.)

They call it something else. They call it freedom.

So what do you think God will do? What is the temperature of society now?

I don’t understand why. Why do people segment their world into social boxes? Are they trying to understand the nature of creation. Or is it a little more nefarious; “if I put labels on the people I I don’t understand they are subject to my judgment “.

Do you grasp that without the Social boxes peace is more tenable? But the following is the rub.

There will not be peace throughout the world. It is impossible for limited beings to abide differences among us. Somebody, likely many bodies, will rise up and try to destroy what they don’t understand.

There is only one answer for peace in this world and unfortunately, it will never incorporate everybody. It is absolutely essential that each one of us turns to the Living God to learn and be empowered with his selfless love. There is absolutely no other answer to this situation.

The name of the one who can free us from our own inherent hatred is Jesus. I’m not going to length than this post by itemizing who he is, what he does, what he intends to have happen. You can look all of this up by yourself. But consider the consequences of doing what is right and the consequences of doing what is wrong. Doing that with a sincere approach will bring you to the place of harmlessness and peace in Christ.

The majority of people hate the name of Jesus.

But God absolutely and eternally adores him.

Shocking news here: this world does not belong to humans. This world belongs to the living God.

Think about it a moment.

Even to the point where you deny the existence of God, you live in his world.

Isn’t it stupid to hate God’s son while you live and breathe in God’s creation.

What do you think the consequences are of such things that men do?

Thrusting forward into the darkness

I never know if anything I write is gonna be useful to somebody else but sometimes this is almost a journal to me. God knows, I don’t know.

But I want to share today because the urgency is on my soul.

All my life. I can’t remember a time when I wanted to be on this earth. I certainly don’t want to be here now. It’s not that suicide was really a part of my heart because when a person commits suicide they steal from possibilities and they steal from the living God. And who can say what value lays dormant in the mind?

i’m 73 this year. So the beckoning of “somewhere else“ has been raging in my soul for a long time. Like a great many others I’m getting comfortable with the uncomfortable. Not that I just lay down and give in, doing what everyone else is doing, I’m comfortable with the stress of still not wanting to be here.

There are hundreds of thousands who make up reasons to be here. Let them have what they think they need. But I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ which has purchased my soul for something far greater. Frankly, I see no other alternative. And no one has an alternative to Christ. What they have is an imaginary medication to love staying here.
