Rot and Corruption

I have seen the body of an animal reduced to bones and fur within the space of two days, by the bugs along a stream.  That’s not a place where I’d choose to sleep the night.  You would be swarmed within the space of an hour.

As I consider this, I am put to remembrance of the souls of men.  The decay of a rotten soul draws the attention of many.  Yes, man is dead, even as he lives, if he refuses the life that God extends through Jesus.

Sleep in this world of destruction, if you have no will to notice the swarm which stands against you.  Or listen to the wisdom of God to turn away from those places where a man should not “sleep”.  Come away from the muddy, unpalatable and slow-moving water of lies.  Answer the call to climb the mountain of God which leads to the living place of rest.

16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”(John 3, ESV)

Why the Wrath, Here?

I sat with the Holy One, reflecting on the nature of things in this world.  I saw that His Holy Wisdom has been loosed in this Place of Testing; a Great display of His Majesty to sustain life, even among a people who detest His Holy Right to Rule.  Then I settled on a question.  “If the destruction of the wicked will surely come to pass, why bring the volume of the seven seals among Man?”

I did not mean to judge His Holy Wisdom to seal the end of this Place of Testing with violence.  I simply did not understand the necessity to bring the plagues upon humanity, since the destruction of rebellion will surely come to pass.

I asked this question.  He told me to go and write, as is the custom of revelation between He and I.  He spoke to Moses face to face.  He speaks to many in dreams.  He has spoken to me in the means of writing.

Let understanding come as it will.  The following is His answer.

They will receive (even in their place of flesh; even in this “place of testing”), the due penalty for their willful ignorance.  The punishment of wickedness will certainly begin while the consummation of the war against evil rolls toward finality.

It is not the state of man to endure this war.  It is not Man for whom this war has been engaged.  But it is the state of those who side with the unholy one to endure the same “ripping away of willful disobedience”.  Those who desire to side with evil will certainly endure that taste of coming and sure destruction.  All that belongs to the hands of the accuser will suffer loss, even while those hands are busily destroying.  Man is caught in the war between God and the accuser, whether he desires to be involved or not.

It is Man who is become the display of contention.  It is Man who is either saved for the Glory of Christ, or it is Man who is delivered to humiliation for the sake of he who is humiliated for his accusation against the Holy One Forever.

Who can understand the Holy Wisdom of the Most High God?  What man can speak of the beauty that belongs to He who Lives Forever?  As we endure in His Marvelous Mercy, so the wicked will surely endure in His Marvelous, Righteous, Just, and Eternally Powerful Wrath.  May the will of the Living God be done forever, and that in His Holy and Righteous Living Son, Jesus the Christ.  Amen.

Legs

It was the legs of men that carried them to a great assembly.  There they violently required the crucifixion of God’s Holy One.

It was the legs of men that carried them to the place of crucifixion.  There they hated him with utter contempt and violence.

It was the legs of men that carried them to their home while Jesus was delivered to the grave.  Those same legs carried them all their days, until they too went to the grave.

Your legs have carried you to this day!  Will they carry you into holy faith?  Or will you command your legs to take you to the place of unbelief; where you will certainly join those who railed at the mutilated flesh of God’s holy son?

This is the day to beg for mercy.  You are not promised tomorrow.

This is the day to serve the Living God with holy legs of faith in his promise.

Where are your legs taking you now?  Where will your legs find themselves when the Holy One of God returns?

Valid Optimism?

There is an optimistic hope among Christians.  Many say that history proves, when times get evil humanity turns to God.  That can be proven with even an overview of history.

But in every place of history, the people still had a reverence for God.  What ever variety gods came in, the people held tightly to their beliefs.  At some point the people had enough and turned away from emptiness.

Why do I think today is different?
1. The young people are raised to question even the existence of God.
2. Technology takes the place of independent thinking.
3. Responsible behavior is being eroded by a variety of welfare mentalities.
4. Superstition has become a multi billion dollar corporation (worldwide).
5. Vanity has become the primary motivation of nearly every man, woman and child.
6. Trivia has replaced an educated perspective of history.
7. Immorality has not only become the norm, it is an expected behavior.
8. Greed and aberrant behavior is beginning to find expressions that were previously unheard of.
9. Violence is rising in unprecedented mass.
10. I do not see the people searching for the living God.  I see them searching for peace. (no matter what that means)

These are only 10.  I suspect there’s a hundred subdivisions.  I suspect there’s geographical exclusions.  And I’m not positive that my assumptions are on the money.  But I think there’s enough reason to be rather pessimistic.

Wow!

Would you like to catch a glimpse of what the world will be like when the Spirit of God is taken from among Man?

Where are we on the timeline of God that such a thought should even have been given birth?

This reminds me of the rich man’s attitude in the story of the rich man and Lazarus.  Eternally clueless.

Two Important Items

I don’t know that Christianity has ever witnessed a greater coldness, within its ranks, than today’s “so called church”.  I can’t say with absolute certainty, for I am not privy to the entirety of history.  But from what I see and read, I find it hard to imagine a more rebellious time.

From the beginning, Christianity has been unpopular.  But as the unpopularity and attacks against the Church increased, so did the number of those who believed.  But now?  Now I see, witness, and hear many lives that bear almost no resemblance to Christ’s intent for His people.  The world is far colder to the Gospel than ever before.  And this desire to replace the Gospel’s intent with ANYTHING ELSE, is not diminishing, it is exploding; replaced by a willing ignorance en mass!

I’ve asked before, as have hundreds others, “What time is it?”

If you’re going to miss your flight, a good friend will certainly remind you of the time.  And his reminders will increase in urgency of delivery.

Those who go to bed late, will wake up less refreshed than they ought to have been.

If you know the family eats at 6 pm, it’s foolish to purposely stay out till 9 pm.

Waiting to accomplish, till you know it’s long past time to prepare and do, is selfish idiocy.  Love does not act like that.  But The Bible promises that just such things will happen to Spiritual (Eternal) things.  I would gladly even extend that to morality itself.

Many, (I don’t think that word does justice to the actuality of the number or percentage) will determine to withdraw from The Faith.  The term the Apostle Paul uses is “a great falling away”.

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a great falling away first. . .”. (2 Thessalonians 2:3)  That’s not just a few, that’s a great majority.  Jesus alluded to this by saying, “Nevertheless when the Son of man comes, shall he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18: 8)

The Lord uses the simple word “faith”.  I have come to call it “The Faith”.  But the use of the word “faith” implies an even greater horror than does the use of a more poignant title.

One other aspect to this vein of thought, is that the “falling away” indicates that one must first have had something to fall away from.  This doesn’t necessarily exclude the world, but it more speaks of Christianity.  The sad part of this is, that those who are falling away won’t even be able to identify this stage of creation, as they will perceive the nature of things from the perspective of self-righteousness.  To them, all things are as they should be!  Wow!  What a horrifying seal to those who allow the world to draw them off from Christ.

And look what Peter said about this:

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.  5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 thereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved to fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3)

With what tool shall anyone awaken the sleep that has come to cover the souls of today?  How will the Holy Spirit contend with the flesh driven rebellion that covers the earth like a putrid mold?  With all their perceptions anointed with the things of this world, humanity now enters into that blindness which will cause them to dance in the streets, send gifts to one another, and celebrate with great abandon, the death of God’s two prophets.

How greatly we warn.  But who even cares that such words still exist?

I’m done writing this post, but for one question:

What about you, what about me?
