Christmas Gone Wrong

“Mass”, refers to the amassing of people for an agreed purpose.  “Christ”, specifies the purpose.                 Christmas!

What can man say?  How will anyone of us testify before the Living God in regard to our celebration of what is called Christmas?

How have we honored the Living God’s Christ by the giving of joy and gifts to one another?  How have we celebrated his Royalty?  What is the year, and where is the place we amassed for His Glory alone?

The question will be satisfied with one day’s answer.  You cannot supply one sufficient day for answer.  I shall not ask you for all your days.

But men take pride in what they have done to the Glory of God.  They celebrate snow.  They elevate fictitious characters.  They embrace lies as if they are holy.  And they consider any man blasphemous who speaks against them.  Then count me blasphemous, for I will speak against it!

The concept of fasting is more than the celebration of Lent.  Easter is not intended for glamorous attire, hide and seek, and a simple rabbit.

Christmas, of all days people, Christmas!  This is the one day man has drug to the very pit of hell.  Every wicked attribution of man is attributed to this most Holy day!

Along with all our other unholy sins, every man will give account to the Most High God for his treatment of this day; for his treatment of His Most Holy Son.

The very word of God became flesh among us.  This by the power of God’s righteous strength.  God’s intent for compassion has become a pageantry of selfish greed.

They celebrate without knowledge, yet they assume they know perfectly well.  Their assumption is a wall a: thousand miles thick, and 10 thousand miles high.  They are not aware of their lack, nor do they care to look into these things.

The Royalty of the Holy Lord Jesus stands established forever!  The Living God has spoken an eternal oath.

How can man hold the Incarnate Word of God in one hand, and the lie of Santa Claus in the other?  It is not possible to worship both!  One of them rightfully demands to be God!

How is it your right to compare what is Holy with what is a lie?  How is it possible to be the owner of life and death at the same time?  By doing this you ascribe death to the Holy One of God.

For lack of vision the people perish.  Their vision is cut short by greedy lies.  What glories they forsake, for the sake of shiny trinkets!

Amazing Thanks!

Let the family stand on a warm July night.
Let them coo and moan at those “special lights”.

Let the young man dress enticingly.
Let him snap his neck to see,
The beautiful girl who passes by;
Yet fades away to nothing.

Let the rich man yearn for gold.
Let the fool demand his drink.
Let the young man chase what cannot be.
I have joy I cannot speak.

For in this life I’ve come to know,
The God who made my very soul.
This wonderful, fearful sack I own;
This knit together bag of bones,
Contains the promise of his throne:
“I will yet His face”!

They pine away for what passes away.
Completely content, this place to stay.
But now I lean into the Wind,
“Lead me home, my Holy Friend”.

The Proper Use of Greed and Jealousy

“You do not know me or my Father,” Jesus replied. “If you knew me, you would know my Father also.” (John 8: 19)

God’s people speak of heavenly things.  And when they speak so, they speak of things the world is not able to understand.

Just before the Lord spoke the words cited above, he said this:  “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Therefore as you follow the living God in Christ, do not be surprised that you are not received or understood.   But as we speak what is true and faultless, let their lack of understanding be a source of joy.

We strive to interpret for their benefit.  But understanding must come from the Holy Father.  If anyone wants to understand, let him humble himself before the Living God and ask for wisdom.

We are adopted into a foreign land.  But they remain natives of this place of testing.  We speak the language of the land into which we are adopted.  Let us boldly speak according to the will of God.  Allow God’s power to be displayed in our speech.

We were once native of this place also.  In this, to some extent, we are bilingual.  But our allegiance must be first to the One who calls us home.  It is not profitable to rejoin the rebellious that we may draw them out.

They speak in the vulgarities of rebellion, and to this alone they understand.  But remember we are cautioned that “it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret”. (Ephesians 5: 12)

Display the beauty that you have received.  Let greed and jealousy do its proper work.

Afraid to DEATH

Afraid to testify.

“Oh my!”

Afraid to be rejected.

(Afraid to be included,

By the only One who matters;

Afraid to be singled out,

Afraid of the label of Christian,

Afraid to be introduced to what is

Holy, lasting, pristine.

Afraid to take part with Christ

In this Holy war of will.)

Afraid to lose.

Afraid to win.

Afraid of hell.

Yet afraid to enter in.

SO BE IT!

Do you think you’ll go unnoticed,

When you stand with all the rest;

When God throws away the useless,

And blesses what is best?

May it be done as you have believed.

How much fear do you think you will own,

When your name is not found in the book?

For now you fear their perception.

Don’t you fear God’s contemptuous look?

If fear has held you hostage,

What will that moment be?

For now you fear what Man can do;

Who can only harm your body.

A man belongs to whom he serves.

Dishonor strives to keep what is his;

Not considering the honor of Christ.

Honorable love fears the One who IS.

Understanding that Holy, paid price.

SO BE IT!

Honorable love honors He who IS.

It says, “I will stop my cowering.

I will give myself to what is His”.

“SO BE IT!”

Weeping and gnashing of teeth belong

To the weak and faithless many.

Who hid among the rebellious throng,

Trying to save “life“,

As if pennies.

Broken Promise

Waiting with patience for the Kingdom of Heaven,

Is to be content with what is given.

Do we believe or don’t we,

That God will provide our every need.

Anxiety lurks like a thief in the night;

Looking for doors left wide open.

Waiting to pounce by delivering lust;

When greed says, “His promise is broken”.

Inexpensive Poverty

It affects us all; the infection of want.  And a world of commerce which lowers the prices of goods aids in its own decline.

The rich get richer, while the poor become more greedy.  Empty houses fill up with shining objects.  Thus lives are lit on fire with trouble.  Thus invisible greed takes shapes we can hold.

Financial ruin brings poverty back home.  But this time poverty lives in a house filled with shining objects, and greedy eyes.  But it is not just shining objects which bring poverty.  Moral decay is worse.

A society that does not divide between righteousness and sin, is bound to bring eternal poverty.  The lust for women is set on fire by inexpensive clothing, jewelry, perfumes, and makeup.  The lust for the man who has a nice car, clothing, house, and purchased social position, sets ablaze the wayward wife’s desire.  And all of this a godless society promotes with abandon.

The children learn early that divorce is an option.  No longer are they taught to work out their troubles.  Mommy and daddy prove that righteousness can be attained through the back door.  The children are taught to bind quitting with their vows.  The word “vow” becomes diluted and worthless.  The once stable world spins out of control.

The wicked man never wonders why he does what he does.  The greedy man simply reaches for “more” to massage his aching conscience.  But time moves by and the cost increases.  Time goes by, and the expense of poverty increases exponentially.

The life span of a man does not give him the luxury of finding righteousness by mistake.  As if we stumble over a stack of 100 dollar bills as we walk down the street.  The odds of finding righteousness by happenstance are billions to one.

Blessed is the man who is concerned by his wickedness.  Blessed is the man who wakes in the night for fear of what he has done.  Blessed is the one who allows himself to feel burning and consuming regret.  Blessed is the man who panics for the sake of his wrongdoing.  This one has the potential of learning to do what is right.

Blessed are those who have never tasted wantonness.  Those beautiful souls who have patiently endured with what they have.  Blessed is the one who considers greed a sin, and keeps his hands to himself.

The proverb still rings true:  every man will reap what he has sown.  But a godless world teaches that this is a lie.
