Malicious Shadows

I cannot blame the Sun

For intensely being bright.

I cannot blame the moon

For shining through the night.

I cannot blame the wicked

For hating what is right;

For embracing all that is not God,

In his blazing Holy Might.

God Himself ordained the Sun

And gave it a place to remain.

The moon remains and serves him well,

Despite its shifting name.

God has given truth to man;

Displayed abundantly.

Account we’ll give on bended knee,

When his face we all will see.

This land is shadow and now proclaims:

“Your wickedness will end!”

When shadows cease and God appears,

No longer means to mend.

Malicious thoughts against the Lord;

A taunting threat displayed.

The great proud smiles of those who hate,

Their filthy lips, like tattered strings;

Unravel and are frayed.

Who has ears to hear these things?

Who has eyes to see?

Let him acknowledge Jesus Christ,

And bow his wicked knee.

Even so Lord Jesus come!

The Ship of Humanity

I am the only man who knows what has made me.  It has taken a lifetime to write the book I have become.  And it will take the perfection of eternity to read it.  This is so for every man woman and child.

I have been wickedness.  I have endured wickedness.  I have taught wickedness.  And with all this I have brought great destruction in my years.

Before I was saved I tasted some good things.  Some good things were done for me.  Some good things I did for others.  The difference between right and wrong was shown to me very clearly.  The perspective I hold was taught by unique variety of wickedness and truth.  Thus I have become a distinctly unique creature.

Regardless my head long plunge to death God has raised me up.  As he used Pharaoh to refine his children, so God uses the wickedness of men.  (If you do not know the story of Pharaoh you will find it in the account of Moses)

Many men believe that their wickedness belongs exclusively to them.  They think it is protection and gain.  They think they stumble about, wreaking havoc as they please.  But God steers the great ship of humanity.

Every man has become what he is.  Through a variety of sources he is made to be.  It is when he is awakened by the holiness of God, that who he has become becomes useful.

The hardness of Pharaoh’s heart grew from childhood.  There is no possible way he could know he was being used; or, if you will, set up.  Moses was sent to instruct him in the sovereignty of God.  And only God knows if Pharaoh finally understood before his death.

You, my friend, can be used by God.  He does not need what you have become.  But he can certainly put it to perfectly good use.

Perhaps you have been a gentle man.  God can use that.  Perhaps you have been a warrior against society.  God can use your rebellion.  Perhaps you have been one to fully involved yourself in the things of men, for the sake of perceived good for all.  God can use that.  Perhaps you have loved wickedness and inspired others to do the same.  You understand the ways of this wicked world.  God can use that.

God is in control.  Regardless the chaos of men, God is saving souls.  Why not let him save yours?  You certainly need him.  And he can certainly put you to good use.

Is Jesus Trustworthy?

It is impossible for God to sin.  To sin is to deviate from perfection.  Such an action can only be done by anyone who is not God.  God himself is the standard of perfection forever (a redundant phrase for perfection and forever are synonymous).

There is one who decided perfection was too high to hold.  Both in word and deed, an accusation was made against God: “You demand too much of us.  You do not provide what is necessary for us to obey.  Therefore sin is our only alternative.  If not now, it is only a question of when.”   (Isn’t this what man is saying even today?   And by saying this aren’t we questioning the trustworthiness of Christ?)

By this he shattered the love of God.  By this pride he spit in the face of the one who made him and granted him his place.  (You can read of his demise in Ezekiel chapter 28)

The result of that choice is chaos and death.  This “other” fell from glory and took one third of the angels with him. Anywhere you find the creatures who willingly fell from perfection, (or man who has never known perfection) you will find chaos and death.  They were banished from heaven and now make their place among us.

This is the reason for the decay of the world.  Wickedness was born long before the birth of the first man at the hands of God.  And it finds its display among our words in the temptation of Eve.

But the gospel tells us of One who cannot sin.  This One has been with the Holy Father from the very beginning, and will never deviate.

How do we know we can trust Jesus?  Because he has been tested and found faultless.  He has been with the Holy Father from the beginning.  Perfection has been the mark of his character.  Unlike “the other”, the Lord Jesus has never questioned his Father’s will, nor had pride in his glorious position.

This One who is from eternity, has lived among us in this place of testing; the place where the hearts of men are tested to see if they will love God or self.

In obedience to his Father’s desire, Jesus took on a body of flesh.  If you read the account of the gospel you will find him tested viciously in every possible way, yet it was found to be without fault.

Pride in his glory is the instrument of condemnation for the “other” who fell.  But no one will find pride in the Holy Lord Jesus, the Christ of God.  Instead we find him full of humility and obedience.  Even though he has been with the Father from the beginning.

Unlike the adversary of God, you will never find fault in the Son of God.  The test for “the other” was his life.  The pride of his own glory destroyed him.  But the test of the Son of God was in his death.  In this he arrived at a place “the other” could never hope to attain.

We can trust the Lord Jesus because he was beaten viciously by he who cannot be trusted, yet was found faultless.  Even man was incited to add his own blows to the Holy Son of God.

He was sent to his creation to speak of the love and righteousness of God, and to endure the ultimate testing.  But instead of being received, he was horribly abused.  Still no pride rose up in him.  He submitted to their accusations, hatred, violence and rejection.  And by this his faithfulness to the father was proven.

By His love and righteousness God has granted him all power and strength and glory and honor.  “The other” will die but Christ lives on forever.

Yes you can trust the Lord Jesus!

The pit

I saw something this morning that I will not have words to describe.  What I saw is what I am.  What I saw is the sinful nature.  What I saw is what all men are without the Lord’s mercy.

My first coherent thought, upon waking, was of how wicked and ugly I have been.  How solidly hard my heart has been.  I am not saying it is so now, for if it was I would not have seen what I saw.  I saw the man I was.

I saw how hatred consumed me.  I saw how I trusted the wisdom of men and found myself utterly wicked.   In my youth I looked to man that I may grow and become a man.  But they could teach me nothing more than what I already had as a fool of a boy.

They said, “The beauty of this world is worthy of praise and desire.  And the best beauty of this world is woman.”  They told me to gain what is best and beautiful.  The best however could only be gained in my weak, futile, wicked and twisted mind.  But that to them was sufficient wisdom.

All the while they praised this form of wisdom, they despised me for holding it.  And this was the beginning of true wisdom for me.  As in all other things, men will say they love you only to show they hate you thoroughly.  So with their mouth and their media they show you beautiful things only to despise you inwardly.  My friend, they don’t even want your money.  They only hate and despise anything that is not them.

There is no beauty in this wicked place of testing.  Those who put their hope in this place, and the things that belong to it, will find themselves empty.  They will think they have.  They will think they own what is good.  But when the understanding of God comes near they will see themselves are.

This is what I saw when I woke this morning.  I was caused to look inward on my body and see a dark cave; seeping with every wicked thing.  Hopelessly uncleanable.  No sooner is the nature of man cleaned but it seeps more putrid wickedness.

The man who thinks he can save himself is unspeakably fooled by a lie.  With what will you reach to approach the Most High God?  What righteousness will you present that is acceptable to the Holy One?  How can what is unclean present anything clean?  What complete folly resides in the heart of man!  And folly above folly, man thinks he is clean!

It is impossible for me to paint a more clear picture.  I am blessed to have seen it, despite the tears.  It is the mercy of God to have shown me now.  It is his tender compassion to teach what is true.

God alone is good.  He has sent His Holy One for our redemption.  Yet he was not sent simply for the sake of man.  He was sent that God may glorify him.  And those his blood redeems are a gift to his eternal and Holy kingdom.

Jesus appear before us to testify of his Father.  He came among the wicked to testify of righteousness.  He alone is what is good for us, for, without him, there is no good within us.

The man who would balk at this is full of wicked hatred.  He does not perceive the stench of his way.  And unless a man appeals to God in the name of Christ Jesus, he will find no welcome in the kingdom of heaven.

Utterly and eternally the wickedness of man will be sealed on the day of judgement.  Those who trust in the wisdom of man will find themselves horribly crushed.

Perhaps you think I am judging you.  With my confession of my own wickedness, how could that possibly be?  I testify of Jesus.  I testify to the righteousness of God the Father.  And I testify, in truth, to the wickedness of man.

Those who think this message is a judgment against them, are full of vile things.  If there is wisdom within you to be had, consider how you hate this message.  Let that be a sign to you of what is to come.  If you cannot stand the message of a man, with these words, how will you endure them when they come from the lips of the Holy One?

I place these words here on WordPress.  I have thought them through and have been is careful as I can.  If I were to speak with you face to face I may well have missed many things.  But here it is written that all men may I understand.

How I desire that this message reach millions.  But I am not fooled by the fact of obscurity.  There are thousands of others who write all manner of things all day long.  And though this post is priceless, it will sit in the garbage heap of words.

Words gather together in this world as if a garbage dump.  They write about fashion, social grace, the beauties (so-called) of this world.  Yet a few testify of what is true.

These truth writers deposit gems in the dung heap of this world’s wisdom; priceless treasures to be found by those who will be willing to sort through the trash.  I place this gem among them.  May God have mercy to direct your fingers as you tear through the stinking garbage to find something beautiful.

Please come eat and taste that the Lord is good.  Only then will you understand how sour and putrid are the things you eat now.  Your tongue is accustomed to waste.  You read what is rotten and the kid sweet. All the while the taste of truth your sour and unpalatable.  You die even as you live.  But God is willing to give you life.

Waiting to receive your angel wings when you die is part of the folly of this world’s greatest lie.  The Lord Jesus has come and sacrificed so that we may have the kingdom of heaven here.  We need not wait.

He will purify the putrid place of your soul.  He will teach you to love what is good.  He will teach you to abhor the flesh and the wisdom of man.  He will teach you  to detest yourself.  (So much for the teachings of self-esteem) He will teach you to become and overcome.  He will stand with you, within you, and before you, as you are forcibly presented to the Most High God.

I am not permitted to say more.  For even when Jesus was among us, he spoke to the people in parables.  So I have done here.

Dear friend, if you understood the things of God, while you live in wickedness, you would die.  You cannot fulfill the demands of the Holy Lord of life by yourself.  The sinful nature is at war with God.  And if you will be saved you must be released from your own chains.

Therefore the things of Heaven are spoken in parables to those who do not believe.  Man is not given words that are true and pure.  We are allowed only to speak to men from a man.  And you will find that as you believe, it is revealed to you.  The fullness of wisdom is reserved for the place of fullness.

By His grace I have spoken.  By His grace alone, you will hear.  May the will of God be done forever!  Only God alone is true. Amen.

Yes HE is!

The Holy Lord, the God of Eternity who has made this place, is risen from the dead!   He has been given all authority over heaven and earth.  He sits at the right hand of the sovereign God of Glory.

If a man accomplishes a great task we can say with confidence he was always able to do it.  And we must admit we were wrong to doubt.

If the man told us he would do it we were wicked to call him a liar.  And now the proof of our folly stands before us.  Who, in his right mind, would stand before what the man has built and say it does not exist?

From eternity the Lord Jesus was able to attain this Great position.  Doubt and accusation has reduced the evil one to less than he was.  And this was done long before the world was created.  So he went about perverting.

And even when the Great Holy Temple of our Lord Jesus was completed the devil has not ceased his perverting.

I do not say this to cast accusation against the devil.  I say this to shine a brilliant light on all who would speak evil of the Holy Lord of life.  I say this to all men who observe the holy place in which they live yet cast aspersions on the One who made it.

Am I wrong to call creation a holy place?  Does the Sun rise over millions of years without failing?  Do the seasons cease or become disordered?  Does heat and cold fail to be?  Then how do men assail the Holiness of God who made this place?

The Lord Jesus has risen from the dead as was prophesied by the Holy Lord God Almighty.  Let men doubt as they will.  Let them mock Him with their own parade of wickedness; even on this day of celebration for His glory.

His holy ways are before us day and night.  They are like the fool who stands before the finished building and says it is not there.  They are the ones who have blinded their own eyes because they live in derision, rebellion and lies.

We are born in sin.  Yet all our life we observe what is holy and consistent.  Where is understanding?  How does it evade the fool?  How can man love ignorance,  while the proof rages a torrent against his unbelief?

The Holy Lord Jesus is risen from the dead!  And now the accusations against The Father’s enemies become His.  Let the nations rant and rage against the Holy Lord Jesus!  They are the ones who will suffer.

The Holy Lord Jesus is risen from the dead!

The great chasm

Unholy is he who desires to please man.  Unholy is she who dresses to entice.  The way of the Lord is narrow; only what is holy can walk in it.

Do not the fool by the prosperity of the wicked.  By decree they are allowed to walk close to the path.  Even if they stretch their feet to be near the path, they are by no means on it.

What is holy is life.  What is unholy is death.  What man can divide between the two?  Such wisdom comes from God alone.

Man will say he loves.  But his life is apparent by his appearance; desire for this world and a love of self dresses them.

The love of God is full of wisdom, discernment, holiness, justice, righteousness, mercy, propriety and continuity.  The division between what is holy and what is unholy is eternally fixed.  It is divided by an endlessly deep chasm.

If some man would walk the narrow way, he must receive from God.  It cannot be that a man should read and do.  The good things he may read are not from man.  They are delivered by He alone who has life to give.
