Human Mirrors

Time for self analysis, again.

Who are the people you agree with? Are they up and comers or bottom feeders?

I’m not talking about Economics.

Do the people you agree with have a burning desire toward godliness? Or are they perfectly satisfied to live striving after all their pleasures?

Take a real good look at the people you agree with, and you will see misty mirror of yourself.

“Places Everyone!”

image

Man is placed in a place remote.  For if his place were among the things of God, Man would try to dethrone Him.

This place of testing, this place of proving, this place of violence or love.

This place of choices, this place of life or death, this place of time and decay.

This place of anarchy, this place of treason, this place of hatred or faith.

They refuse to listen.  They despise the one who speaks.  And at every possible convenience, they turn away from knowledge.

This place of filthy, this place of ludicrous, this place of blood and flesh.

This place of confusion, this place of pride, this place of accomplishment and humiliation.

Lest every man be utterly destroyed, God has set a place for rebellion.

This place of wondering, this hopelessness, place of vile distrust, this place of alienation and rare embrace.

Two doors exit this place.  One is wide to accommodate the masses.  The other is so narrow you cannot point it out.

One is proportioned for the violent fits which company the chaos of rebellion.  The other is only large enough for the soul.

We must all leave this place.  But we do not all arrive in the same Place.

Every man who owns rebellion alone, will certainly find himself alone.

But every man who has been stripped of rebellion, to a sort, that which remains cannot die.  Lessened, such men will find good company.

In all things, the endlessly spacious Place of God is utterly unlike ours.

Moment by moment, every man chooses his destiny.  But let us not think that the destiny of man is varied in context.  No!  There is either eternal inclusion, or eternal desperation.

Debate all these things, Oh wandering souls of men.  Or kneel before the Living God in faith.  Plead with him for understanding.

All that belongs to Man is death.  All that belongs to God is Life in Christ Jesus His holy and Righteous Son.

Chance and Possibilities

The universe exists as we find it.  The world in which we live offers us accommodating elements.  Perhaps it could have been otherwise.  Being a man who believes that God has created all things, I don’t suggest that there was an alternative outcome.  But, for the sake of those who believe in evolution, I offer the possibility.

The reasoning I just applied to the universe, can also be applied to righteousness.  Why isn’t it okay to murder your neighbor?  Why is lying considered an evil thing?  Why does immorality know any bounds at all?  And if there is nothing after death, why bother to live at all?

One might respond to me, “There are limitations for the sake of the profit of the specie”.  But if life is truly futile, in that every man who dies becomes nothing, why should you care about the profit of this specie?

You will respond to me, “It is proper to show love your neighbor and give respect for what life they do have”.  Who told you that love even exists?  If there is no accountability after death, why should it matter whether we love or not?  And if the only reason you live is that someone will remember your name, what value is it when those who remember you are dead?

Do you see how futile, and ridiculously ignorant, a life lived on the foundation of evolution is?

If life among men is no more than a glorified animal, then where does the knowledge of perfection come from?  Where does the concept of love originate?  Animals don’t think to provide some eternal testimony of their life.  No, we are not just glorified animals.  We are vastly more.

For the sake of Man’s lack of patience, I will end this writing by simply pointing to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  There you will find these questions.  There you will find the answers.

Every man knows these questions exist.  But how many are willing to search out the answers?  Instead of searching, I find men drawing opinions from their imagination.  What will you do?

News Flash!

You’ve heard what the world calls news.  Have you heard what God calls news?

1 “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.” (2 Timothy )

3 “Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” 5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. 6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. 7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.” (2 Peter 3)

The Troff

During a time in my life when I was warring with immorality, I had a vision of a troff.    It snaked from side to side and was filled with perfect bodies.  Every one of them was face down and sliding along in a clear liquid. (It appeared like an endless water slide, in which the bodies floated en mass)  There was no ability for them to move or speak.  And I could detect no ability of these people to resist their position in their state.  I perceived that they had no control of their muscles.  I knew, without doubt, that this was the place of discipline for those who were caught up in any form of immorality in their lives here.  They are consigned to this place untill the Father has considered their punishment enough to drive this desire from them.  As if to say, “You desire the body?  Then here, I will give you bodies untill you are eternally sick of them.  You will NOT desire perverse pleasure from My creation!”

Now, I’m not going to tell anyone that this vision is absolute.  There would be no supporting scripture.  And I can’t draw worth a bean.  So it would do no good to try.  But what I can tell you is that God the Father is deadly serious about immorality in His children.  And the impact of His judgment against the immoral will be severe.  In short, He’s not Joking, as Americans often seem to believe.

I will post this following scripture as a reminder to us all.  This passage comes from Hebrews chapter 10.  If you even dabble in the thought that your bend toward immorality will be over looked, I’d strongly (STRONGLY) recommend that you rethink your position.

26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.”  31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

The Father is absolutely serious about His commands.  And those who allow themselves to be caught up in sin will suffer the consequences.  I don’t care if you mock the Lord’s solid commands.  But I can testify that such visions alone are enough to burn the conscience.

Beautiful are the Lord’s commands!  He alone has it in His hand to accomplish salvation.  May the peace He had from the foundation of the world return to Him in full.  And may He reap the sweet fruit of obedience from all His children.  His enemies will suffer endless punishment.  But His mercy to those who desire Him will endure forever.  Do not be deceived, a man will reap what he sows.  God will not be mocked.
