The Engine of Peace

I look at what Man has accomplished.  How he has established law, regulation, procedure, and expectations, to force love upon the people for one another.  What I see is that punishment is the motivator.  Look with truth and you will see it also.

If you do what is evil the law will come and take from you.  If you contribute according to the law of the land you will reap what they say is great benefit.

I see how they encourage one another to do good works.  But again, the motivator is gain or severe loss.

Every day, every man wakes knowing that if he does not do what is expected he will lose horribly.  This is not the gospel of Christ.  It is the so-called good news of Man.

This good news of Man is dependent on the resources available.  There’s only so much money in the world.  There’s only so much food.  Politics restrains the gain for all.  And the vast majority find themselves suffering loss as the sun goes down on each day.  Even the so-called winners are exhausted from their efforts.  And there’s no need to itemize the broken families the come from the so-called good news.

In this good news of Man greed must be honed to a fine edge.  Look at the advent of training and implements that has been made available to help.  In all these things, the motivation for adherence comes from outside the man.

You know what’s funny?  With all this trust toward the ability of Man to create peace, the world is no better off.

What does God say?  “14 . . . if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”  (2 chronicles 7)   This Promise of God does not present itself as a manipulation.  It’s the offer of free and complete help.

Take note of how God strips the strength of greed.  In its place he only requires humility.

This is no empty promise.  But who will take up the mantle and respond?

The Law of the Land

Silly people; law is for the rebellious.  ( disclaimer: my apologies to the Trix rabbit.  I have no intention of dragging you into a debate regarding legalism.  You are quite free to desire what you cannot have.)

Across the entire globe, civil law is being instituted:

“You are commanded, by virtue of natural law, to act in accordance with peace among all men.  There shall be no allowance made for recognition of differences between peoples or individuals.  Except as required for the sake of authority.

Equality among all persons shall be the law of the land.  Where one is less, provision shall be made to make him more.  Proverty, of any kind, shall be considered illegal. Reparation to equalize shall be the burden of those who have wealth exceeding equality.

The mention of inequality shall be forbidden, except where it pertains to forced reparations.  Praise for any human condition, value or belief, is hereby commanded by law.

Penalties for disobedience shall be the responsibility of local court.  The foundation of any local court’s authority shall be based on world law.

The forced removal of property, and even the penalty of death, is available as reasonable punitive action.  Common social-geographical opinion is to be taken into consideration for the more severe of penalties.”

If you think this simulation of law is too fanciful to be real, you might want to take a second look at the current legal, political and social trends.  And while you look, do not forget that a “one world order” has been prophesied.

But I did not write this for the sake of prophecy.  I wrote this to expose the folly of man’s rebellion against the Holy One.

Christianity has not gone unnoticed.  Since it cannot be quenched with murder,  the rebellious have determined to annihilate its effectiveness and lure, by institution of similar law.

The new ploy of the enemy of God, is to provide a legalized version of righteousness which mimics the properties of the Holy Spirit within God’s chosen people.

But law can never replace love.  Many will say that such laws are based on love.  By reason of logic alone, I differ greatly.

The laws of man are instituted because he perceives rebelion.  Therefore those who allow themselves to be ruled by such laws are counted as rebels.  And do not allow yourself to be fooled.  Where the law was begun there is no end, only escalation.

Those who try to justify themselves by law stand directly opposed to the grace of God in Christ Jesus.  God the Father has placed the entirety of His grace in His Holy Son.  By this grace salvation is given freely.  Those who attempt to earn salvation by works under law, spit in the face of the mercy of God.

But let the future unfold as it will.  Such laws will surely come to pass.  The salvation of man is at stake (The greatest of possible provocations).  And we are assured that more will elevate themselves by law then will humble themselves in grace.

The pride of man demands it,
While the grace of God is commanded.

Institution vs freedom, pride vs humility, law vs love, godlessness vs godliness.
Which will YOU choose?

Worthy?

Nothing we write, speak or do means anything compared to whose we are.  All three of those are only reflection who or what we worship.  And we all know that quasi gods abound; the variety of motivation is as plentiful as the dust particles on the earth.  Each man can potentially own over a billion different motives in his short life.

None of the writings in this blog are of any value if the Living God is not at the heart of my life.  Not a thought I may have is worth anything if I don’t know Him.  No deed I may a do will suffice if it fails to give Him Glory.

Fame is worthless.  The best of man’s thoughts are but conjecture (and this from biased perspective).  And regardless our intention not one of us can do anything “Good“.

If that is true of me as I write, it is also true of you as you read.  I am nothing.  He is everything.  And you are the reason He has blessed me.

Reasons Provoke Specific Actions

Motivation,  that’s what matters.  A man dives into a shelter for a reason.  The reason comes from his perception.

The Lion hunts where prey are less likely to be watching.  He is motivated to do this for ease of kill.

A people with nothing to fear are either utterly delusional,  or are willing participants in their death.  It is the wise who seek shelter against dangers.

Jesus offers that singular shelter.  Consider it, my friends.  Ask and He will show you what all this means.  Fail to respond, and you will shake limbs with the Lion.

Wanting to Need.

I look around at the world.

I want to serve.

I look into my heart.

I want to serve.

I look into the heart of the Lord.

And something changes.

I look around at the world.

I need to serve the Lord!

I look into my heart.

I need to serve the Lord!

The difference is plain.

Desire is not necessarily the doing.
