Believe!

Settle matters with death. Once a man has settled his mind to accept death as that inevitable doorway to eternity, he is free to live the rest of his days without fear of anything.  Then what can be held against you?  The world is caught up in living.  God’s people are not to be that way.  They live dead and do all they can to retain what they can’t keep; even their flesh.  But God’s people have settled it in their mind that Jesus has taken away that fear of death which once held us as prisoners.

We have heard that Jesus will take His people into the peace of His Father.  We have heard that He is even now preparing a beautiful place for those He incites to love Him.  We see the marks within us of obedience to the Father’s Will.  And we firmly believe the promises He has spoken.  Then we believe, without the slightest hesitation, that God is true.  What He has said He is able and willing to do.

How odd these things seemed to me as I first read them.  But after watching His hand bless my life, belief is the only reasonable conclusion to retain.  For now we don’t see Him with our senses.  But there is a Spirit who confirms these things to our hearts.  Don’t ever let anyone teach you anything other than what the Lord has said in the Bible.  Believe, and you will live though you die.

Time

You have today.  And even “today” is a generalized word.  You have the “now”.  You do not own what happened.  And you do not own what is to come.  It is like time is a wind which blows against your face.  You have the movement which touches your skin, and no more.  What is behind you only carries your scent.  What lies ahead only holds a promise.  You have the moment only.

Reach back one second and grasp anything.  You can’t.  You have regrets you call your own.  But you can’t hold them in your hands.  And you can’t change their outcome.  Reach ahead and embrace what is coming.  You can’t.  You have promises you can see coming.  But you don’t own them yet.  And the best you can do is prepare to embrace what comes.  What you’ve done is done.  The past is a recorded and untouchable testimony to the life you’re leading NOW.  And the future only promises something is coming.

But there is something you can do for your “time” situation.  You are invited to own what comes.  You don’t need to simply hope.  I testify to everyone (as do all Christians who weather life in Jesus’ promise of the Holy Spirit), that you don’t need to encounter life as a rock or a tree.  You can know that what you encounter has purpose and eternal meaning.

Right now, you search yourself for the strength to encounter the next moment.  And you know that you prepare and fight the “now” without a firm grip.  Jesus has done what you are trying to do in your own strength.  And His promise to guide you is real.  The fear of what you’ve done.  And the fear of what is coming are both too much to bear.  You can experience the freedom from fear that you’re holding too tightly.

Simply turn your life over to the one who has made the promise of eternal life.  He has promised from Heaven and He cannot lie.  You don’t need to be tossed back and forth from what is coming and what has gone.  You can experience the freedom you’re looking for.  It’s found in Jesus, the Christ of God.

Dust

Our hearts are elevated from the dust of our creation by mere inches.  It is by the Grace of God that we can perceive anything more than this dust.  If our hearts soar above the dust, its because He has caused them to soar.  Our imagination can imagine certain things more than our life.  But God promises true life, life removed from this dust.

Come! Let us reason together.

Tossed to and frow, we wander this world as blind men.  Each day brings another buffet from without and within, yet we do not walk alone.  Though you are most wicked, there is a promise from He who is Most Pure.  “Come.  Let us reason together.  Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall become white as wool.”

I tell you as one who knows His beautiful power to transform.  He is Able and does not lie.  For now you fear Him and His lovely law which kills.  But if you will allow, He will turn your fear into a raging torrent of love and power.

Come!  Let us reason together.

Rise Up! You Serve He Who Has No End!

Though I falter in faith.  Though my sight can no longer see Him.  Though I stumble as to never rise in this world.  I will praise the Name of Jesus!  It is to His Glory that His people rise up.  And the grace He provides will not return to Him void!

You are His people!  Remember who He is,  The Great and Mighty God of all eternity!  You do not stand before Him as helpless people tossed to and frow by the winds of lies.  Though these lies penetrate to the heart those who deny His Name, we stand by the power of Holy blood poured out on the ground.  If the blood of Able still speaks, how much more will the blood of Jesus speak?  And if men find strength in a “good” man, how much more will we find strength in He who Lives forever?

Strike forth!  You are the people of the Most High God!

By His Grace.
