Wake.  You who say “Shhhhh”, wake.

Look.  You who close your sleepy eyes.

Listen. You who fill your ears with tripe.

Your legs are broken.

Yet you think you can run.

You have religion.

But you have no Strength.

Wake.  The Living God moves among you.

But your stupor of greed restrains your senses.

You do not shed blood.

Yet you murder the souls of thousands.

Look.  See how the children reflect the doings of the inner room of the parents.

Listen.  The children hate with abandon, for they are not taught to revere the Lord of Hosts.

You give birth to babies, breaking their legs before they can learn to walk.

Yet you expect them to run!

You gladly receive a happy word from fools.

But you despise the Holy Word from the Living God’s Holy Son.

You are dead, even as you think you live.

Seek the Lord while He can be found.

Look about you.

See how the door has shut in your face.

Look at the horror that is your precious hope.

Look in the streets!

Can’t you see what’s happening to your precious hope?

Seek the Lord or remain dead, even while you think you live.

What does the world say?

“Love me while I am wicked, with no intention to do what is pure and good!”

What is the response of the Christian?

“Get your hands off my throat so we can talk.”

Will you help a beggar in the street?  Will you look the other way when you see a drunk?  In your opinion, what is the difference between the two?

Are not both bodies in a posture of weakness?

You praise the soldier whose pride lets him run toward the enemy, mindless of death.  And you agree with the average Joe who is proud to say he does not worry about the coming judgment.  In your opinion, what is the difference between the two?

Are not both of them bent on self reliance?  Do you think death cares?

Do you fear God?  Do you think the fear of God is a matter of opinion; as if it’s okay to let another man think he has a choice.  As if God has said he is willing to give eternal life to those who refuse to love him.  Or do you realize that that man will surely die?

All day long, everyone of us are witness to people who despise the teaching of God.  When you see them, do you realize you’re looking at a dead man?  Or do you just say to yourself, “It takes all kinds to make the world go around”?

Do you shake your head in pity when you consider what people are doing in this world?  Are you doing anything to bring the judgment of God to your fellow man?  Is shaking our heads in pity putting an end to the violence in our streets?

Do you know what the Bible says about the coming judgment?  Do you use the Gospel simply as a motivator for social righteousness?  Do you honestly believe that’s all it is?

Peace, peace?

All my days are thankfully rude; that they may keep alive in me the necessity for holy conversion.

Go seek peace, if that is your desire.  I will rather to enter the war of Christ against myself.  That He may bestow upon me (come that immeasurable day) PEACE which escapes me now.

Walls

Every wall divides, that is its singular purpose.  On one side of the wall are those things that are not desired.  On the other side of the wall is the desire of the one who erected the wall.

Your house has walls.  Your heart walls.  The City of God has walls.  Think deeply on this and understanding will bud on the limb of your tree.

But there is another wall that men rarely speak of.  It is created to keep Man distant from the Holiness of the Sovereign God.  My soul sees this clearly, but the limits of Man’s communication perplex my words.  And how should this be astounding?  Even the Lord Jesus questioned as to how he might deliver these truths to Man.  “What is the kingdom of God like?  And to what should I compare it?”

Every man knows the wall I am speaking of.  It is the blackness apparent on a cloudless night.  It is the blackness of our understanding.  Is the blackness of our ability to speak to one another in regard to the great things of the Holy One.  It is the blackness of the will, to obey the Living God’s Holy Son.

This wall is for protection on both sides, for the Living God is not evil as many attribute to his Holy name.  It protects our evil hearts from the condemnation of the Living God.  And to protects the Sovereign purity that is Life from the Living God.

If any man would pass from one side of the wall to the other, the doorway must be shown to him.  This doorway is the Holy Son of the Living God.  You will find the complete description of it written in the Bible.

Now who has understanding?  Who desires eternal life?  Who will bend his will, that God may raise him up?  Who will lower his walls that God may enter?

My God will watch over these words.  Wherever they go, what eyes may read them, the Living God will watch the response.

A Word of Sobriety

To those who think they can do as they please while they bear the name of Christ.

The Living God will enter your sinful place.  His messengers will come among your putrid house of defiance.  The Lord will know what the people do, and he will surely reward with justice.

Have you listened to the lie?  Have you preferred disobedience over righteous humility?  Then do not be surprised when your house becomes desolate.  For the Lord will surely make an end of rebellion.

But to the diligent who resolve to love him and obey His Holy commands.

Do not fear.  The Lord has seen your heart.  It is for joy that He has given salvation.  Nothing that belongs to the Living God’s Holy Christ can taste destruction.  As the grave itself was not able to hold him, so destruction will not touch those who belong to him.

But the Lord will make a distinction.  He will surely divide the people one from another.  Be wise.  Honor His Holy Name and live.  Remain foolish, and you will surely taste his wrath.

Yes Christ Jesus is the Love of God!  But the love of God is directed to what is righteous and true, faultless and clean.  To this he draws us out of sin, and will accept no other engine.

Be wise and live, remain in sin and die.

1 Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 Jesus answered, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? 3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. 4 Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”  (Luke 13)
