Words and Actions

Do the angels in heaven fail to tell one another that they love God?  No they say it in praise to Him openly and to one another.  Is only among men the such words and praise are forbidden.

But who should we align to?  Shall we join men or shall we join the angels in heaven?  For we will surely be among them.  Will it be known of us that we were ashamed before men?

Let us not praise God only with words, but with actions also.  But good actions among men are a welcome addition to society.  It’s the words they hate so much.  And those who keep them to themselves for fear of reproach, prove that they hate those words also.

Foreign Language

I had been of the persuasion that the Gospel could be communicated in a way that was “less offensive” to the ears of man.  To a certain degree, I still am.  I find that stories, parables, and examples from life, are quite fit for consumption by those who do not have the Spirit of God in them.

But it must be recognized that The Gospel speaks an entirely different language than the language of man.  And why not?  The Gospel comes from Heaven and Eternity.  Man is of time, suffering, rebellion and death.  How can the two speak the same language.

Certain phrases and alignment of words are completely foreign to man.  One such alignment of words is “I love God”.  Now man is quite willing to allow that God is love.  It’s kind of cool to think that there is at least someone who loves.  So they don’t mind hearing that.  But if you tell them you love God, they come unglued.  If they are willing to try to understand what you just said, they might accept it for a moment or two.  But as you show and speak the things of God, that live within you, they will quickly label you a freak (At least in their mind.  And to my experience, they will often let that thought pass through their lips.  I have even been told I am insane for just such an alignment of words.)

So what’s this mean?  It means that there’s a place where hiding your foreign language from man is not reasonable anymore.  You’ve tried to speak to them in their own language.  You’ve spoken things that man thinks are wonderful, wise and beautiful ideas.  You’ve spoken about wisdom, as man likes to hear.  But you see no connection within them yet.  Well maybe it’s time to pull out the “big guns”.  Maybe it’s time to tell them plainly that you love God.  Just be ready.  When you do that, you’ll see their true feelings about the things of God.

Times Up?

Rising up in their midst, in this particular generation, is a man who speaks of the ancient ways.  They call them ancient ways, as if they are dead, but they have simply been pushed out of the way.

Much to their amazement, and to some extent disgust,  the old words present themselves again.  They thought time had destroyed them.  They thought the modern age had made them obsolete.  To complete their pleasure, all they had to do was wait for the old ones to die.

How surprising that the ancient words of history live even today!  And how surprising it will be, that when they think their victory complete, babies are raised up to speak them again!

My friends, they are not ancient words, as if the eyes of man sees decay.  They are ancient eternally long before the beginning of this place.  They are as strong this moment as they were from the beginning.  And to your amazement, they will thrive long after you are dead.

The language of man has changed, and so his toys and the use thereof.  But truth and mercy are never ending; from eternally before to eternally after.  It is only your wicked perception that gives truth a time limit.  It is only the perception of wicked men that relegates truth to the old folks, in the obscurity of their death.

“I’m a Man!”

With every thought.  With every action.  With every word he speaks.  Man proclaims, “I am a man”.

With pride of accomplished adulthood, man stands.  As if there is something to be proud about, by the simple doings of expectations.

How many perceive the shame of man?  How many are able or willing to perceive the length, width, height, and depth that is God?  With such a perception, man is no more than a tiny baby.

Wisdom escapes man; holy wisdom from ancient of ages escapes man.  The doings of God that were done endless years before the creation of Adam.  Where is this wisdom among man?  How small is every man?

With every prayer.  With every desire.  With every movement of soul and body.  The man of God seeks the will of God.

Where is the boasting pride of man before God’s Holy Throne?  Such things are not even allowed entrance.

Just Worthless Noise

Words that you will likely never hear from the HR staff of a company:

“Let God come in here.  Talk about him all you want.  Because wherever God is, good things happen.”

You will not see a sign like that posted in a bar.

There will be no places made along the highway, where people can pull over and pray.  A secluded and beautiful little place, where quiet is the only regulation.  And Christianity is the commanded focus.

The government will never find funding for a public memorial, depicting the beautiful things that Christ has done for humanity.   Certainly nothing similar to the memorial of the Vietnam War, Mount Rushmore, and the like.

You will never hear the president give orders to the citizens of America to fast and pray to the living God in Christ Jesus, for the sake of some trouble.  Never.

But you will hear the glorification of man.

From very early in the morning to deep into the night, Man babbles about with words for everything but God.  All his celebrations have one purpose: “Make Man happy”.

The statistics are vague but they are consistent in variation.  It is said that women speak about 20,000 words a day.  While men use about 7000.  How many of those words, do you think, relate to the glory of Christ?  Let the reader do the math, but multiply those numbers times the population of the world.  What is the volume of words used by Man everyday?  How little is dedicated to the Holy One?

Heaven is!  And there, Christ is King and glorified.  For the time being, the world is.  But take note of how Christ is not glorified.

Judge for yourself,  should we really ask God to bless America?  Does any nation really have the right to ask for the blessing of God?

PS: How many words of yours glorify God’s Holy Son all day long?

Good

What word speaks “Good”?  It belongs to the Most High God.  What word speaks “Beauty”?  That too belongs to the Most High God.

Men speak of such things; good, beauty, honor, glory, magnificent, exquisite, and 100 more.  They do not refer to the Holy Lord God in these words.  Instead they use these to describe themselves among men.

What right does man have to use what belongs to God alone?  To misuse these words without consideration of the Sovereign Holiness of God.

By practice they have forgotten him.  They place themselves first and justify their words.  Indeed men together have become futile creatures.
