Put a blob of paint on a white piece of paper. Put a night crawler into the blob of paint. Watch what the worm does as it moves around, the marks it makes. That’s a person’s activity on this earth. If by chance it happens to resemble anything intelligent, it’s only a matter of chance.

If you do not have God’s hand upon you in Christ, you are just like the worm. You do all kinds of things, but it’s not the intelligence of God so it cannot be eternal, anymore than the marks of a night crawler.

The darkness looks like it accomplishes things. But everything it does is nothing more than movement.

People have said they don’t need God to live their life. That’s correct, but it’s really no life at all without him.

With Christ, however you are like a pencil. The pencil can’t stand on its own. It doesn’t even know what standing is. It certainly can’t write anything intelligent by itself, even though it does exist.

Choose you this day, whom you will follow either the God of your ancestors or the living God in Christ Jesus. The only wise choice you can make is to put yourself in the hands of the intelligence of God.

Why live a useless life when your life when you can be blessed by the eternal hand of the living God?
