Suicide is rarely beautiful. In some cases it can be a final, welcome end to pain, like a painful terminal illness for example. In most cases, it’s the result of an inability to find a better way out of the pain. Usually there is a way out. Sometimes people can find a way out on their own. But often enough they can’t. When they can’t, they need the help of others. There is no shame in seeking out help. Professional psychologists are trained to help people find the answers that are hidden within themselves, answers that they can’t always find on their own. It can mean the difference between savoring your remaining years and having positive impact on the lives of your loved ones, or forfeiting those years forever.

While the killing of one’s self is a seriously foolish end to many wrong choices, there is a death spoken of in this post which is absolutely necessary; the killing of the pride of man. I’d like to think you didn’t miss the point.

The suicide is not too literal death. It is putting to death our own failings our own misguided minds and hearts, trusting God to change us into a living, breathing testimony of his desire and strength for each one of us.
